On
Saturday 2nd September 2006 the cast and crew of Small Town
Folk had their first private viewing of the movie at Harbour
Lights Picturehouse, Southampton, bringing with them hundreds
of friends and family who have been involved since the film
first went into production nearly three years ago.
Preceded
by the DVD trailer for the cult indie flick Freak
Out the movie proved a resounding success with
all who went, and regardless of the poor weather outside everyone
enjoyed a thoroughly memorable day.
After
the screening guests mingled at the bar, some cast members
meeting one another for the very first time. Simon Stanley-Ward
who plays 'Marcus' in the film was unable to attend, as were
Warwick Davis
and friend of the film Rob Joy, who were all greatly missed.
Howard
Lew Lewis who plays one of the two 'Knackermen'
in the film came along and stuck it out for the day joining
everybody down the pub for a drink in the evening, as did
Dan Palmer, Greg Martin, Jon Nicholas, Ben Richards, James
Heathcote and Hannah Flint.
Many
thanks to all of those who got up so early on their weekend
to come and check it out, and most especially to those who
have lent their support throughout the production.
Keep
checking back here for more info regarding future screenings
of Small Town Folk!
